In a bid to restore the lost Islamic values of Madrasah (Quranic school) in the community, which gives Muslim kids the opportunity to learn about their faith, expand their knowledge of Islam, increase knowledge on Islamic practices and facilitate the memorization of the Holy Quran, The Jamieu Salam Foulah Town Madrasah has organized its first graduation ceremony on the 1st January, 2023 at the mosque. In her opening statement, Guest Speaker of the occasion, Haja Marie Busairu congratulated the jamaah for the progress made so far in putting together young kids in the community to learn about their religion. She recalled the past elekahu in the community and encouraged parents to encourage their children to learn about their religion as that is the only way they can empower them with particular reference to the girls. Haja Busairu, emphasized that the notion by the public about women in Islam is absolutely wrong, as Islam laid emphasis on equality in education, where both men and women receive equal rights and facilities.
