The Central One Football Association (COFA) Inter Area football competition continues at the Parade ground, Central of Freetown. The COFA league remains the most exciting league in the country as it continues to attract spectators from every nook and cranny as 44 teams battle for this year`s prestigious tropy. It was a complete irony as spectators now prefer to watch matches at the parade ground rather than going to national stadium as it was manifested past Wednesday. The match between Leister City Community and Wilberforce Community which ended 1-0 in favour of Leister City was jam-packed whilst FC Kallon and FCFC played in an empty stadium. Defending champions Belgium Sellers convincingly brushed Kroo Town Road Community 2-0 on Monday`s showdown while on Tusday, Susans Bay grabbed a narrow 1-0 victory over Maroon Town. Meanwhile, Juba Community will engage host Fullah Town Community in a thrilling showpiece at the same venue later today. Fullah Town are without a point while their counterparts will honor their first fixture in the competition. In tomorrow`s fixture, Kingtom Community will lock horns with Bambra town. Kingtom have three points while Bambra Town were forced to draw in the opening match. |
