SLFA PRO Arrested over Murder

Police officers of the Kissy Police Barracks are currently investigating an alleged murder that involved the Public Relations Officer/Protocol Officer of SLTA, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay. According to Superintendent Curtis A.C. Koroma of the Kissy Police station he confirmed to journalists of an alleged murder which occurred past Saturday at Metzger Street, Kissy in which they are waiting postmortem result, as a Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Public Relation Officer (PRO) is in custody helping the police in their investigation.

The deceased father, Mr. Almamy koroma told this medium that Sorie and his wife entered his compound at about 11:30am with five unknown persons to put a stop on an unholy love between his step daughter and the deceased step son. On arrival Mr. Koroma revealed that, they were intercepted by one Abdulai Kamara to know their purpose of visit, but unfortunately for him he was severely beaten by the unknown gangs for interrupting them. He went further and said that one of the gang was shouting “bring Mohamed out or he would face death penalty if later found. At this point, I had no choice but to intervene in order to save my son Mohamed Koroma aka med `Core` remarked.

During the ensuing augments the deceased, Alice Koroma, had to sneak away fear of being lynched but her luck ran out and she was nabbed outside the gate by one of the gang who aggressively pushed the deceased as she collapsed awkwardly to the ground. The deceased was rushed to the Family Support Unit at Kissy where a medical report was issued. The Police doctor Madam Rashid examined the deceased the same day before she returned home late in the day. “I woke up the following day at about 5:00am to perform prayer s but I wasn`t myself”. “After holding ablution I called the deceased to close the door while I was away to the mosque, but on my way I experienced some strange feeling and decided to return home to know the condition of the deceased.

I went to her room to wake her up but unfortunately for me she was not responding to my call, I thought it was a joke until I examined her before I knew my only daughter was dead. When news broke out of the unfortunate death, youths in the area quickly mobilized and moved to Sorie’s residence and allegedly beat and striped him naked. His house was allegedly set on fire but for the timely intervention of the police that Sorie Sudan and the house would have been history. Report says he was disguised as a police officer to escape the angry mob.

Speaking to this press, Sorie Ibrahim vehemently denied knowledge of the unfortunate incident saying he was innocent of the offence the offence. “I`m 100% not guilty but only God would prove my innocent”, he said. He continues, “I was very lucky to be alive by now”.

When asked whether he was involved in the death of the deceased, Sorie Ibrahim replied, “I`m innocent Martin”, he stressed.Sorie explained that, “At around 11am in the morning he accompanied his wife and four boys to put a stop to one Mohamed Koroma who is love with his step daughter. Upon their arrival one Abdulai Kamara intercepted them and the young guys confronted them and fighting ensued which prompted him to escape with his wife to avoid the scene. He went further that around 6:00 am I heard youths screaming out my compound ‘bring Sorie Ibrahim out` this screaming continued for over three minutes and I tried to escape. Fortunately for me whilst these hungry youths were forcing their way to the compound the police arrived at the scene and I was rescued and taking to the police station.

The decease Alice Koroma age 23 was born on 1st July 1990 in Moyamba. She is a nurse trainee working at the Blue Shield memorial hospital in Freetown. She attended the government Municipal school before moving to the Blue Shield nursing school to further her education.
