Ghana to play Sierra Leone in WAFU

Ghana will play Sierra Leone in the opening fixture of the WAFU Cup next month following Friday's draw in Accra.

The home-based national team has been drawn in Group A with eight teams. The competition is reserved for only home-based players of member nations.

In the Group B, defending champions Togo are the top seeds and they will face in the competition with teams from Niger, Senegal and Gabon.

Winners of the two groups will progress to the final while the second placed team in each group will vie for third position.

The competition starts from 21st November, 2013 and will end on 28th November, 2013.
