Former East End Lions and Sierra fisheries defender,Mohamed Didi Abu has told this press in a telephone interview that he wants to give back to his country by feeding over 100 less privileged children in the country. Didi is the current chairman of the Sierra Leonea Inter State Soccer Association in America, soccer coach for a U- 9 and U-13 girls for Thunder Soccer Association in Columbia Maryland, and Owner of Diabu Sports Management in Maryland soccer recruiter for colleges, certificate holder in sports management, owner of thunder soccer club in Freetown, formerly y2k married with four boys
He said the event will be followed with a football festival in December 2013 for young footballers between ages12 to 17
Didi said: “Football is everything to me, my food, the air I inhale and I want give back to these young boys.
He further revealed that plans are underway to include division one and two clubs as part of the event, adding that the winner of the tournament would receive standard football items, including learning materials to help in their educational pursuit.
When asked whether he has any political intention, he replied; ``I have no intention of going into politics and nobody has influenced me to do this. I love my country and I will always give back to my country when the need arises.”
