Chief Executive Officer of Sheffield United, Fred Claye has called on football stakeholders to unite for the good of the game. According to him, stakeholders should forget the impasse and move forward for the good of the country`s soccer. He said: “We fought a genuine case and it`s good people understand our stance. Thank God it has been settled by his Excellency and Rtd Major Paulo Conteh, he told Awareness Times sports. The first gentle man of the country, his Excellency the President Ernest Bai Koroma, is the father of the youths and soccer as his priority is to see the game develop and the youths happy. This is why we as stakeholders embraced him and ready to work with the current executive of SLFA.
He, however, refuted claims that his relationship with Hummel and Mediatel portrayed the rough road. “I represented Mediatel and Hummel when the contract marriage with the SLFA was established and I signed on their behalf & our relationship is still cordial;” he stated. He further appealed to members who are still bitter to forget the past and think for the better. “Isha Johansen and her executive mean good for the game and I think we should all come on board to give them our maximum support. |
