The Super Falconet of Nigeria has whitewashed Sierra Leone female side 10-0 in the first leg of 2014 Women`s World Cup qualifiers in Abuja on Saturday. The Super Falconets will travel to Sierra Leone in two weeks time for the second leg encounter. Sierra Leone female sides have failed to score against their Nigerian female side in their last three attempts in all competitions and they have conceded twenty one (21) goals. The Falconets finished fourth at the 2012 tournament hosted by Japan. They however hope to surpass that feat when they make it to Canada next year. It could be recalled that Nigeria`s senior national female side (Super Falcons) in November 2004 wallop Sierra Leone 9-0 in Abuja in the first leg and 2-0 in Freetown to secured their place in the 2005 African Championship. |
